Celco Automation

Celco Controls was incorporated in 1979 to manufacture Custom Electrical Control panels predominately for the industrial refrigeration market. By the late 1980s, Celco Controls began to integrate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) into panel design and control systems.

In the 1990s, Celco was becoming engaged on larger scaled integration projects and saw the importance of developing engineering services capability within the organization. Celco subsequently obtained a Certificate of Authorization from APEGM to perform engineering work within Canada and established itself as an engineering firm specializing in the design and manufacture of automation control systems.

To support the growth of the business Celco, a sales team was established through the addition of an automation sales specialist. This decision, coupled with the concept of providing a complete Automation and Controls solution, propelled Celco to a different level within the industry. By 2003, Celco emerged as the leading full-service automation solution provider within Manitoba.

After firmly establishing itself as the market leader of automation solutions in Manitoba, a concerted effort was made to expand the market outside of Manitoba. Celco has since acquired a company in British Columbia(CPC) in order to effectively serve that market. Celco also has sales and engineering resources based in Saskatchewan.

Celco Controls Ltd. has 70 employees with offices in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia comprising of 55,000 sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space.
