The main problem that smaller businesses have with this is that they don’t have a marketing department of their own so they are tasked with learning how to do these things. As a small business myself I understand the importance of outsourcing and utilizing time wisely, where we can make the most money with the most amount of time. Networking groups have been monumental in this journey by being able to provide resources that you wouldn’t already have had and by making connections with folks that offer the services you need. I offer digital marketing services to small and mid-sized businesses around the world. Internet marketing is more commonly known as social media, search engine optimization (SEO), website development, paid ads on google (PPC), blogging, email marketing and the like. Pay Per Click (PPC) (or Google ads) Services
PPC is a form of advertising within the search engine results page (SERP). When you type in a keyword phrase in the search box of Google and hit enter, you get a list of results, the SERP. There are usually ten organic results and also usually ten paid advertising results. The paid results are usually indicated by the terms ‘sponsored ads’, ‘ads’ or ‘ads related to your keyword’. They are located at the top of the results, usually three, and then along the right side and sometimes at the bottom of the page and maybe intermingled within the ten organic results. Sometimes they even have a colored box around the top or bottom paid ads.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services
SEO stands for search engine optimization and is basically where one makes changes to a website (optimizes) to make it more… ready for it… search engine friendly. However, it not only helps the search engines find your website, but it can be helpful for the consumer as well. Search engine optimization has four main parts – keywords, links, titles and tags. When your website is optimized, on all pages, for these things, you have the basics down and have higher odds to be shown on the search engine results pages higher in the rankings.
Social Media Services
Social media is a great tool to get your business products or services in front of more sets of eyes than many other mediums. Social media is a form of word of mouth and viral marketing that relies heavily on friends, family, coworkers and followers to share your messages with their friends, family, coworkers and followers. Remember the saying – 7 degrees of separation? Well, social media, more specifically Facebook has decreased that number noted by Social Media Today in an article from 2011. Can you imagine what it is today?
