About Claw Manufacturing


Our patented Traction Studs for Rubber and Steel Track Equipment are designed to provide improved stability in all directions, and increase traction and safety on thick ice, deep snow, wet mud, and compact or loose dirt. Our Studs Mud Bars, and Claws, are installed through the track, and provide ample traction for any rubber track machine. Our studs become one with the tracks!

Our company was founded by Brad Blackburn, a man with over 30 years of experience, and knowledge in the logging and construction industry. Using his knowledge of the industry, he noticed the high degree of danger caused by slipping and sliding on ice, mud and snow while using his machines, and being the innovator that he is. He began creating a product concept to help solve this industry wide problem. He started the product concept in 2014. Mr. Blackburn turned the concept into a prototype, and with the prototype came testing. After a year of testing and working on new innovative designs, the studs finished testing with outstanding results, and, after the design was patented, sales started to come in. ClawM studs are manufactured in a small city within Canada, and can be shipped anywhere in Canada and the USA.

Commercial Snow Plowing
Contract jobs allow us to test our products in extreme conditions. This job was a contract with a large logging company to clear and wing back their roads to allow their machinery and trucks to get through. Extreme studs were installed on this machine to get these results.

Claw Manufacturing traction studs are a newly patented technology that gives added traction and safety to Mini Excavators, Skid Steers, Track Loaders, and any other rubber track machinery. ClawM Studs, Bars and Claws, are attached completely through the rubber track system, making them "One with the track". The ClawM Carbide Claws and Studs are uniquely designed to remain in place and cause absolutely no damage to the rubber track system on your equipment.

Our traction Stud attachments can increase the productivity of the rubber track machine, save you from stress and lost time, provide an additional degree of safety to the operator, and decrease the greenhouse gas emitted by your machinery. Our studs are manufactured in Canada and can be shipped anywhere in Canada or USA.

Carbide Studs 120 Piece Set
The ClawM Carbide Studs are a great option to quickly add traction to your rubber track machine. The Carbide Studs feature quick and easy installation and works well on icy, slushy, muddy, gravel and dry dirt terrains. The Carbide Studs work perfectly with the Snow and Ice Asphalt Studs- simply install the Carbide Studs during the summer, and then when the weather changes, remove them and install the Asphalt Studs for winter. This rubber track attachment is a straight steel bolt that has a hard specially welded carbide tip to ensure secure traction over many terrains. Installation for this product is the quickest and easiest of all the ClawM rubber track traction attachments and is often used in conjunction with other ClawM attachments to obtain the full ClawM advantage. The time to install will be approximately 5 minutes per stud. However, ClawM does offer tracks with pre installed attachments. Please contact us for product pricing. Extreme Carbide Studs 120 Piece Set
The Extreme Carbide Studs were developed for extremely rugged terrains where you need additional traction such as going up steep inclines, in mud, ice, and snow. The Extreme Studs are a great option to quickly add traction to your rubber track. The Extreme Studs work perfectly for heavy duty operations in gravel and mine pits. These studs have an easy installation process and can be switched with other ClawM stud attachments to suit any purpose. The Extreme Studs have an additional carbide coating and an extra-long head to provide added traction for your rubber tracks. Mud T Claw 60 Piece Set
The ClawM T shaped steel mud bar studs are exceptionally useful during the rainy/muddy season. When the Mud T Claw Stud is installed on a rubber tracked machine, traction is greatly improved. The machine operator will immediately notice the difference in traction on any surface. The Mud T Claw digs deep into the dirt and mud, and gets grip which keeps you machine moving. Not only does it provide increased traction, but the Mud T Claw also creates a grooved and indented road surface on any dirt or mud terrain which helps other trucks and machines operate in the area. Installation of the Mud T Claw is relatively simple, and after the first Mud T Claw is installed, the installation should continue quite quickly. *This product is a custom build. V Claw 60 Piece Set
The ClawM Carbide V Claw stud provides the best degree of traction with the easiest installation out of all the Claw rubber track traction attachments. The Carbide V Claw is installed horizontally across the track, but due to the triangular V shape, will still provide strong sideways traction. This package set is great for use in rough winter conditions which include deep snow, slush and thick ice. A secondary feature of this rubber track traction attachment package set is that the V Claws will chip away at any ice on the road surface, which creates grooves and indents. These indents are proven to help increase the road surface traction for any trucks or machines working on the road. Steel Carbide track Studs 60 Piece Set
These Studs are great for any steel track machinery that might need extra traction on snow, mud, ice, and gravel. These studs are custom made when you order them. We will ensure that the length of the stud head will be long enough to extend past your machine's grousers. We will also customize the length of the stud to suit the thickness of your metal track. Bolt thickness can range from 3/8" to 1-1/4" (10mm-32mm). Our personnel can help you match the size of your machine's track with the correct size stud. Just use our contact information and we will send you a quote asap. These studs are easily installed and can be easily removed from the track if they are unnecessary for your project. Using these studs can greatly increase the amount of traction your machine gets on mud, soil, snow, ice, and gravel; we know you will find them to be highly durable and helpful for your projects. Because the metal track studs are so customized, the pricing will depend on the model type and size of the machine you will be installing it on.
